![]() It’s the old-fashioned point-and-click adventure game and the reviews are very good. They raised money through a Kickstarter campaign. The good news is that Tim Schafer, the creator of Grim Fandango, has released a new game, Broken Age, a story of two teenagers who live in different worlds. I still have the haunting theme in my music collection. ![]() My favourite used to be this Myst series, a mystery game that came out in 1993. I have sat with my son over several holiday breaks as he played the Monkey Island series. When you have a boy in high school, the sharp trring-trring-trring of the Sonic rings becomes part of the ambient noise in the house. There was also Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider and many more. Over the years there was Sonic-The Hedgehog and Super Mario, and The Neverhood in which the characters were made of clay. ![]() The first game ever I possessed was Indiana Jones in 1989, a gift from my then boss. But I gave up after a couple of days when I couldn’t find the keys to a door, and didn’t have the patience to go on looking. It has elements of film noir and the dialogue reminds me of Philip Marlowe in Raymond Chandler books. I would any day prefer the old Grim Fandango (circa 1998).
